Ingredients
- 2 pouches Proper Good Bone Broth
- 2 cups milk
- 1/3 cup butter, plus extra 2 Tbs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 cup uncooked grits
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 lb raw deveined shrimp
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 green onions, finely sliced
Method
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring broth, milk, 1/3 cup butter, salt and pepper to a boil. Slowly stir in grits.
- Reduce heat, cover and cook for 12-14 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese.
- In a large saute pan over medium heat, add remaining 2 Tbs butter. Saute garlic and cajun seasoning, until lightly browned. Add shrimp and cook 3-5 minutes, or until shrimp is pink.
- Plate with grits, topped with shrimp and sauce. Top with sliced green onions.
