Serves 4-6
Ingredients
2 pouches Proper Good Bone Broth
2 cups milk
1/3 cup butter, plus extra 2 Tbs
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup uncooked grits
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 lb raw deveined shrimp
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
2 green onions, finely sliced
Method
1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring broth, milk, 1/3 cup butter, salt and pepper to a boil. Slowly stir in grits.
2. Reduce heat, cover and cook for 12-14 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese.
3. In a large saute pan over medium heat, add remaining 2 Tbs butter. Saute garlic and cajun seasoning, until lightly browned. Add shrimp and cook 3-5 minutes, or until shrimp is pink.
4. Plate with grits, topped with shrimp and sauce. Top with sliced green onions.
