This is a software limitation out of our control, so if you need to do this please reach out to our customer care team at hello@eatpropergood.com and they will be able to manually add the gift card to your existing subscription for you. Apologies for the tech limitation here. Luckily we're better at cooking than we are at tech :-)

Question 11

How do I apply discount codes on subscription orders?

Accepted Answer

Some discount codes you can use on subscription orders and some you cannot, it all depends on the offer and if it is exclusive to one-time purchase or if the discount is stackable on subscription discounts. Look at the discount code info on the email/sms that you got it from for additional information if you are not sure. Our first time order discounts, new meal launch discounts and holiday discounts are generally valid on both one-time and subscription orders. If you use the codes on a subscription purchase it will work on one subscription order...i.e you get your subscription discount, and the applied additional one-time discount for a combined bigger discount. Then when you get sent your next subscription order you will still receive the subscription discount but not the additional discount you got on the first order. To apply a discount code, simply copy & paste it into the 'discounts/gift cards' box on the checkout, your discount amount will be applied against your total and you will only need to pay for the balance. If you need any additional help please reach out to our customer care team at hello@eatpropergood.com :-)

Stove Top - Tear off the top of the pouch, pour into a pan and heat on medium until bubbling hot, stirring occasionally.
Boil-in-Bag - Submerge the unopened sealed pouch into boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove pouch carefully, tear open, then eat directly from the pouch or pour into a bowl/cup of your choice. Be careful as the pouch will be hot to touch.

Question 23

Are the products organic?

Accepted Answer

Our products are not currently certified organic. We've chosen to stick with very clean ingredients we can all understand and pronounce while avoiding anything that sounds like a science experiment. Although we do have a lot of organic ingredients in our products the products themselves are not organic certified as they are not 100% organic. Making our products 100% organic would increase the cost to you, the consumer, but we're exploring whether people would enjoy this option so please contact us and let us know if organic would be of interest to you.

Question 24

What allergens are in Proper Good?

Accepted Answer

Allergen information for each meal is on the meal page under nutritional information.

Question 25

Why are the same flavor of meals sometimes different colors?

Accepted Answer

You may sometimes notice slight fluctuations in the color of our soups as we do not use any artificial coloring. How are your meals made?

Accepted Answer

Our lovely heat-&-eat meals are made by using real wholesome ingredients, a gentle cooking process, and a bit of material science. Our custom pouch may look simple but it is actually made of multiple layers of BPA free high oxygen barrier materials. The delicious ingredients are then cooked in the pouch, which is the same way most baby food is made, and this combination of cooking in the pouch with this clever material means the pouch is sterilized and nothing can get in or out, which is how we get a suitable shelf life without the need for refrigeration.

Question 32

Can you freeze Proper Good products?

Accepted Answer

If you would like to freeze Proper Good meals you can, as they are only made with real wholesome ingredients it is the same as freezing a homemade meal. One of the fantastic benefits of Proper Good is that you can enjoy it anytime you want to, simply grab it, heat it and eat it! Of course, having to defrost it adds an extra step, which is not needed. So, freeze if you wish, but personally we think that enjoying them straight from your pantry is the way to go! Hope this helps and happy eating :-)

To prepare overnight oats, add 1/3 cup of any milk (dairy, nut or oat) to the pouch of Proper Good's overnight oats and mix well, then pop it in the fridge overnight so the oats absorb all of the liquid. You can use 1/3 cup water instead, but we recommend milk for the tastiest oats. That's it! You'll wake up to a delicious easy breakfast!

Question 36

Can we eat the meals after the expiration date?

Accepted Answer

The Expiration Date on the pouch is a 'Best By', this is the recommended date to enjoy the food at its peak quality. Accepted Answer

We pack and ship orders as quickly as we can, and we'll send tracking updates along the way. Delivery times depend on where in the US you're located. Plus, remember shipping is free on all orders over $35 so that's pretty nice too :-)
Sometimes shipping times can be longer, especially around the holidays or if there has been a big storm. We do get inundated with shipping inquiries during unexpected weather events as it takes time for the carriers to catch up, so please be kind to our customer care team when you reach out for shipping assistance - thank you!

Question 55

What carrier do you ship through?

Accepted Answer

Proper Good meals are shipped with trusted national carriers - you'll receive updates on the status of your shipment as your delicious meals make their way to your doorstep or mailbox!

Question 56

Why hasn't my order shipped?

Accepted Answer

We pack orders as quickly as we can, but if you ordered on a Friday, please expect to see no movement over the weekend. Once you receive your shipping confirmation email, your order has been packed and handed to the shipping carrier.
You will usually see an update to the tracking within 4 days of the carrier picking up your order. It is likely already moving through their network and on its way to you, but sometimes the tracking takes time to update. Some people even receive their orders before their tracking has started!
If it has been 4 days and you still do not have any tracking, please email your name and order number to our customer care team at hello@eatpropergood.com so they can look into it for you - thank you!

Question 57

Tracking Shows Label Created, what does that mean?

Accepted Answer

If your tracking shows 'label created' this means that your order has been packed and picked up by the shipping carrier, your package is now in line at the carrier and waiting to be scanned. At certain times of year, like during the holidays or after a storm, there are a lot of packages and it can take a few days for the label to update from 'label created' to 'shipped' even though it is already at the carrier, it has just not yet been scanned by the carrier. We do occasionally have scanning issues and the tracking does not update for longer, and sometimes orders even arrive before the tracking has even updated, it is a weird glitch that we are yet to resolve with the carrier. As a rule of thumb, if it has been more than 4 days and you still have 'label created' showing then reach out to our customer care team at hello@eatpropergood.com and they can look into it for you :-)

Question 58

When will I get my order?

Accepted Answer

Your order confirmation email has your order number, and once your order ships you'll get an email with a tracking link.
Please allow up to 4 days for tracking to change from 'label created' to 'shipped', as carrier tracking can take a while to update.
You can also see all of your orders and their tracking by signing in to your account :-)
