Pasta topped with mozzarella cheese is classic & delicious! Make the mozzarella into spooky skulls, and you have a tasty pasta meal with a Halloween theme! These skulls are incredibly easy to make, so be sure to keep reading for all the tasty info!


Mozzarella Cheese Skulls on Spicy Tomato Pasta - Eat Proper Good

Equipment:

  • Microwave
  • Rubber Skull Mold – [Click HERE to see the ones we used.]

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Mozzarella Cheese – One 8oz ball makes 8 skulls

Method:

  1. Prepare the Mozzarella:
    Open your mozzarella cheese and use a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.

  2. Cut the Cheese:
    Cut your fresh mozzarella cheese ball into 8 equal-sized pieces.

  3. Fill the Mold:
    Place one piece of cheese into each skull mold.

  4. Melt the Cheese:
    Microwave on high for 30 seconds at a time, checking between each session by poking with a fork to ensure the mozzarella fills the mold’s details for well-defined skulls.

  5. Chill the Skulls:
    Once the cheese is fully melted, place the mold in the fridge and leave it for a few hours to set.

  6. Remove the Skulls:
    When the cheese is fully set, carefully remove the skulls from the mold, and they’re ready to serve!


We LOVE having these skulls on our Spicy Tomato Pasta, but they’ll be a great spooky addition to any of our soups or pastas!
